John Scoble, that icon of Australian Exhibition Budgie scene, has assembled a group of exceptionally well informed and very knowledgable experts namely Nigel Tonkin, Ken McLean and Mick Leahy, to join him in producing this superb compendium of knowledge. It contains a tremendous quality of concise and most informative facts, never before explained so clearly on several subjects often avoided by the average fancier as being too complicated. Detailed information of the wild budgerigar, it's life cycle and breeding habits as compared to the domestic specimen, was not only fascinating but extremely helpful in understanding many pitfalls often found in our hobby. A clear explanation of feather, it's in-depth forms and types together with an in-depth explanation of exhibition standards and future developments worldwide was again handled superbly. A selection relating to the genetic inheritance of all varieties was quite amazing. I really have always considered that my own knowledge on this subject was quite adequate, but this area was covered in such a manner as to open my eyes to totally different and such useful information. This DVD in every way is the definitive answer to so many questions often asked without adequate explanation, and I can with complete confidence recommend it both newcomers to our hobby, as well as to well established and successful breeders of the exhibition budgie, and a must for your ongoing reference library. My sincere thanks and congratulations to all involved in it's production.
